Shafique Rahman is the founding principal of Trikon Architects. He completed his B.Arch degree from Khulna University(KU) and received Masters of Sustainable Design (M.Des.Sc) from the University of Sydney, Australia. He is a registered architect of Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB) and a member of Australian Institute of Architects (AIA).Shafique Rahman has been practicing architecture since 2009. During 8 years of instance association with the architectural practice, he has designed and involved with more than 70 projects. His executed projects range from Single and Multifamily Residential Apartments, Hospital and Healthcare, Institution Buildings, Commercial and Mixed Use Projects, Commercial and Residential Interiors, Fenestration and Refurbishment of old structures, Landscape Design projects, public infrastructure and Cultural buildings.

Before establishing his own office he worked with a number of recognized architects and offices in Bangladesh and Australia. He worked with international practice Crawford Architects in Sydney for a year, where he led the Design of the Extension of Sydney Domestic Airport and a number of Housing Projects. Shafique Rahman participated in national and international competitions. He received Academic Design Award in 2009, and got a special mention in Dwelling Unit 2062, in 2012. His works have been exhibited nationally and internationally. He publishes articles on Sustainable Architecture and Environment issues in magazines, national newspapers and international journals. Besides his professional career, Ar. Shafique Rahman keeps a strong involvement with the academic community through teaching and research.

He teaches Architecture in a recognized Private University in Dhaka. He teaches courses on Professional Practice, runs design studios and supervises Undergraduate and Master’s thesis projects. His current focus in three interlinked areas is the integration of sustainability, environment and culture with architecture.
