Concept:
The wildlife pavilions are designed with the sole intent of preserving the ecosystem and biotope of Sebino. The locations for the three different pavilions are chosen based on the aforementioned idea alongside acting as a resting place with a clear vista towards the open landscape to experience the environment and wildlife.
The first pavilion is located on the central pathway's eastern entrance, the second pavilion is positioned at the central path between the adjacent point of two bridges and the third pavilion is an extension of the current bird observation tower.
The design principle has been derived in such a way that the new structures would blend with the existing landscape. Intentionally avoiding any heavy construction on site, the minimalist, lightweight space-frame structures are formed, softly touching the ground and welcoming the context rather than being imposing. Locally found contextual materials such as reed, reed-cane, lumbers from branches of local trees are used as building materials of these semi-outdoor, permeable structures.
These pavilions will act as an inhabitant for the wildlife. Birds can slow down and rest on its curvature roof hanging for a while or nesting on its reed made roof. Faunas can grow from the porous stone ground of the first pavilion and the high ground of the third pavilion will allow the wildlife to freely move on their own. Humans will come here just as passing guests to take in Sebino's breathtaking scenery and observe the distinctive flora and fauna.
